  17. Beta version 0.13 of NCSA Mosaic for the X Window System, a networked
  18. information systems and World Wide Web browser, is hereby released:

  27. This release of NCSA Mosaic is known to compile on the following
  28. platforms:

  30.   SGI (IRIX 4.0.2) 
  31.   IBM (AIX 3.2)
  32.   Sun 4 (SunOS 4.1.3 with stock X11R4 and Motif 1.1, and GCC).
  33.   DEC Ultrix.
  34.  
  35. More binaries will be supplied as I am able to find other
  36. Motif-configured platforms to use.  (Contributions of working
  37. binaries, or development systems, are welcome.)  Documentation is
  38. available online.
  39.  
  40. Changes since 0.12 include:
  41.  
  42.  o Fixed occasional mysterious coredump in startup routines. 
  43.  o Fixed occasional stupid coredump in freeing document text. 
  44.  o Fixed silly coredump on accessing malformed URLs like
  45.    ftp:/tcp/xxx.yyy.zzz.www. 
  46.  o Fixed URL parsing choke on accessing URL 'test.html#foobar' as
  47.    an initial program argument. 
  48.  o Added system() call error reporting. 
  49.  o Changed default anchor representations: blue and single solid
  50.    underline for unvisited, dark purple and single dashed underline
  51.    for visited. 
  52.  o Jumping from 2nd+ document page to 1st document page in a
  53.    single document via anchors works now. 
  54.  o Various glitches with scrollbars, document pages, etc. fixed. 
  55.  o New toggle-button options (caseless, backwards) in File->Search
  56.    window. 
  57.  o File->Search doesn't put search results on top line of window. 
  58.  o Use of -l flag for rlogins restored. 
  59.  o Built-in finger interface with faces support (thanks, Marc V of
  60.    IU!). 
  61.  o Miscellaneous bug fixes and cleanups.
